• Manual of Patent Examining Procedure - MPEP

This manual contains all the laws and rules relating to patents and descriptions on what they mean. The MPEP is the authoritative source for patent law.

• United States Code - Title 35 Patents

The U.S. Code is a set of laws developed by the House of Representatives. Code 35 establishes the laws dealing with patents.

• Code of Federal Regulations

The C.F.R. is the codification of the rules published by the Federal government. This code is divided into 50 titles that represent the broad area of Federal law. C.F.R. number 37 discusses patents, trademarks and copyrights.
